Sandra Regada

Animal Cardio Care is led by Sandra Regada DVM, MRCVS, Cert Advanced Studies (CAS) Vet Cardiology (ESAVS). She is a certificate holder in veterinary cardiology with over 11 years of experience in small animal practice, most of which focused on veterinary cardiology. 

Sandra grew up in Porto and graduated from the University of Tras-Os-Montes e Alto Douro, Portugal. She worked for several years in a busy referral centre in Portugal, mainly working in emergency/critical care and leading the cardiology service there. 

She moved to the UK and completed an internship at North Downs Specialist Referrals, followed by a cardiology internship at the University of Cambridge. After that, she worked for HeartVets for several years, providing referral cardiology services across the South West Coast. 

She loves all aspects of clinical cardiology but has a special interest and experience in treating advanced congestive heart failure, congenital conditions and feline cardiomyopathies. 

Sandra is passionate about what she does and is very proud to support vets and bring advanced care to the pets that need it throughout South Wales.
